Akylios

Raid Composition:
- 2x Tanks
- 1x Healing Defiler (Sentinel subsoul)
- 1x Puri
- 4x AOE Healers: 2 Chloro, 1 Warden, 1 Liberator (2 liberator or 2 warden also works fine)
- 1x Bard
- 1x BM/Archon (BM if u need defensive CDs, Archon if you need tentacle damage + Power Drain on Undertows)
- 6x AOE DPS (Saboteur / Warlock)
- 4x ST DPS (Tempest / Inqui / Ranger) | Those are the tentacle killers, if you need more DPS on them use the archon too

note: In general, if you have spare mages try to include them as AOE dps since they are perfect for double DOT'ing Akylios + Tyshe. Warriors should preferably go Tempest, Rogues should preferably go Saboteur and Clerics should preferably Heal or Tank.

General Instructions:
Akylios encounter is pretty much a "one phase" encounter with mechanics that are repeating themselves and ideally one or two "Submerge Phases" you need to survive.
Once you understand the mechanics all you need is practice and good execution to get a kill.

~ ~ Main Phase ~ ~
During the Main-Phase you will spend most of your time AOE'ing Tyshe with Akylios or single targeting Akylios, Tentacles and sometimes a Crystal. The rest of it is just dealing with mechanics such as: Dodging waves, Interrupting Tyshe, Healing through Undertows, Healing Rasmolov, pulling the Crystal and stacking bellow its protective shield until Tsunami is over.

> Targets:

Akylios:
- His HP is connected to Stingers & Lashers. All damage inflicted on those tentacles is transferred to him, therefore, tentacles are always a higher target priority than Akylios.
- If Tyshe dies before him, he enrages.
Tyshe:
- If Akylios dies before her, she enrages.
Rasmolov:
- Whenever his HP reaches 100% he spawns a Crystal. After spawning a crystal his HP will drop to 1 and he has to be healed to max HP before he can spawn another.
Crystal:
- Spawns when Rasmolov reaches 100% HP.
- When broken it creates a protective AOE shield in the room which makes everyone inside it immune to Stinger ground AOE damage and Akylios' Tsunami.
Stingers:
- Their HP is connected to Akylios. DPS'ing them also deals the same amount of damage on Akylios.
- They throw green ground AOE that deal about 8k damage per tick and slow you down. One of them is usually not lethal but they can be stacked on top of each other which makes them very dangerous.
- Once a stinger is dead all ground AOE disappear (another reason for which killing stingers is on high priority)
Lashers:
- Their HP is connected to Akylios. DPS'ing them also deals the same amount of damage on Akylios.
- They deal AOE damage to the raid and add a debuff called "Wavecrash".
- Wavecrash cannot be dispelled and each stack of it causes lashers' AOE to deal more and more damage to the raid.
- Killing the Lasher makes all "wavecrash" stacks to drop.

> Mechanics:

Chomp :: "Akylios' Cleave"
- Akylios hits the tank that has agro on him plus the closest, to that tank, target. Ideally, you want your tanks to stand on top of each other to make sure no other player gets cleaved.
Tsunami :: "Akylios Rears Backwards"
- You have 8 seconds to break the Crystal and stack inside its protective shield. If not, you die instantly.
- First Tsunami comes 45" into the fight and every other Tsunami comes 1' after the last one. (1 min CD)
Undertow
- Cast by Akylios every 30 seconds (First one comes 20" after the pull).
- Deals heavy AOE (water) damage to the raid. Must be healed through.
- Power Draining Akylios before Undertow begins to be channeled will reduce its damage done by 10%.
- Since Tsunami is on 1 min CD while Undertow is on 30 sec CD there's always going to be an Undertow right after each Tsunami. Prepare to heal it.
Here are some tips:
> Some Warden CDs like "Wave of Renewal" block each other. Therefore, if you are using 2 wardens they need to make a CD rotation; One of them throwing CDs on one undertow and the other one on the other.
> Chloros must also save their Ruin and 5 stacks of Nature's Touch for some extra healing burst during Undertow as well as make sure they have applied Corrosive Spores & Withering Vine on both Akylios and Tyshe before the Undertow.
Razor Cyclone:
- Raid wide AOE cast by Tyshe.
- Every time Razor Cyclone happens Tyshe applies a stack on the tank and builds another stack on her (called Razor Cyclone too) which increases the damage of the next Razor Cyclone.
- In order to make the stacks drop you need another tank to take over.
- 2 tanks can maintain 3 stacks of Razor Cyclone which is manageable. 4 or more stacks are dangerous and often lethal for the raid.
Might of the Leviathan:
- Cast by Tyshe. Must be interrupted 4 times in order to be stopped.
- If cast goes through all tentacles in the room are buffed dealing extra damage and projecting ground AOE and AOE damage more often.
Intense Concentration:
- Those are the stacks on Tyshe that define how many interrupts left to be done on her in order for "Might of the Leviathan" to be stopped.
- 3 stacks on Tyshe. Each interrupt removes a stack, 4th interrupt will go through and stop Might of Leviathan.
Stingers' Green Ground AOE: :: "Pool of.."
- Deals 8k damage per tick and slows you down.
- AOEs despawn only when the stinger who cast them is killed.
- Standing in a Crystal's protective shield makes you immune to this ground aoe damage.
Lasher's AOE:
- As said above. It's raid wide AOE which hits harder and harder depending on how many stacks of wavecrash players have.
Wavecrash:
- Stacks applied on the raid each time a Lasher deals AOE damage. The more the stacks the harder the next AOE will hit.
- Cannot be dispelled. However, all stacks are gone when the Lasher who applied them dies.
Waves:
- Each time a Stinger or Lasher dies 2 sets of waves spawn. Dodge them.
- If hit by a wave you are stunned, your mana is drained and you lose approx 18k HP. A dot is also applied, ticking for approx 5k each time until it fades.

> Mechanics' Rotation:

Undertow/Tsunami Rotation
> You pull Tyshe and place her within 7 meters of Akylios model in order for the Saboteurs' ground AOEs to be able to reach both Tyshe and Akylios.
> 20 seconds into the fight Undertow comes. From then on Undertow comes every 30 sec.
> 45 seconds into the fight Tsunami will come. From then on Tsunami comes every 1 min.
> 55 seconds into the fight Undertow comes. This is the undertow that will always come right after the Tsunami since one is on 30 sec CD and the other is on 60 sec CD.

Surviving Tsunamis
>Usually a warrior with 0 points in Warlord pulls the Crystal in the middle of the room and one of the tanks or another Warlord pulls it near Tyshe where it can be burned down by your raids' AOE.
>You have 8 seconds to kill the Crystal, stack in the protective shield and survive the Tsunami. After Tsunami it's recommended everyone spreads out to their original positions.

Stingers & Lashers management
> In the meantime Stingers and Lashers will be spawning one by one and must be targeted by ST dps and burned down asap.
> Preferably, all ST DPS but one switches from Stingers/Lashers to Akylios when the Stinger/Lasher is bellow 10%. One ST DPS is responsible for finishing off the Stinger/Lasher when no other major mechanics are happening so that you don't get waves on top of other stuff.
> Ideally, you want to have waves right after Undertows when nothing else is happening.

Rasmolov & Crystal management
> During a Tsunami and right after an Undertow you want your Defiler + 2 Chloros to ST Heal Rasmolov to 100%.
> Ideally, you want the next Crystal to be up 30 seconds after a Tsunami (right after the 2nd Undertow between Tsunamis).
> It has to be pulled from its spawn point to the middle and from the middle next to Tyshe so that you can have it killed before next Tsunami comes.

- The above keeps repeating in that order and it's about what happens in 90% of the encounter. If you can do it once you should be able to keep doing it without any issues.

~ ~ Submerge Phase ~ ~

Submerge Phase will come one or two times depending on your raid DPS and the only difference with the Main phase is that basically you don't have to deal with Akylios' mechanics anymore, however, there are Adds spawning and 5 sets of waves that have to be dodged.

Submerge phase lasts for 25 seconds and waves are coming every 5 seconds.
During that time you might want to make good use of any raid or personal CDs that will help you stay alive especially in case you get hit by a wave.

The only "difficult" part during this phase happens if you kill a Stinger/Lasher which will cause 2 sets of waves to spawn at the same time with the rest of the 5 sets of waves that come during that phase.
Therefore, you want to ideally burn Stingers and Lashers bellow 10% but keep them alive until Submerge Phase is completed and kill them right after.

Also, during the Submerge Phase it is extremely important to interrupt Tyshe and that's because if a Stinger gets buffed you will have to kill it and get 2 sets of waves otherwise it will pretty much fill the whole room with AOE puddles. Likewise, Lashers will hit really hard which will put a lot of pressure to your healers to AOE heal through especially since your chloros have to dodge waves and can't cast Vile Spores as much as they would normally be able to.

Additionally, crabs will spawn that need to be picked up by the tanks and kept within the Sab AOE. Tentacle DPS'ers can also switch to them if tentacles are already around 10% as written and explained earlier in this guide.
To help tanks pick up the adds, healers can run towards the tanks when submerge phase starts and move wherever they want right after.
To efficiently AOE the adds, tanks should move as less as possible after having all adds picked up. In extreme cases of wave bad rng a tank can stand still and take a wave but should inform the healers.

- If you can manage the Main Phase, the Submerge Phase and the transition from one to the other then it's only a matter of time and practice until you get a kill.

Advanced Tips:

Purifier:
> Tank healing:
Healing as a purifier is a lot different than other encounters. You are solo healing 2 tanks one of which is taking damage by Akylios' chomp while the other is taking damage by both chomp and Tyshe.
The tank that is tanking Tyshe needs to be shielded for about 20%-30% of their HP at all time because it's often Tyshe's attack and Chomp will come as a combo, if your tanks is not shielded it will die.
However, practically, you won't be able to keep track of which tank has Tyshe especially during progress that you also need to get used to dodging mechanics and shielding players who fail them.
As a result, the best thing you can do is to keep both tanks shielded for about 20%+ of their total HP at all times.
Whenever one tank loses their shield you switch on it and replenish it.
Keep your 6 stacks of Ward of Fire (instant) to heal tanks when they get chomped, if you used it for anything else you will may lose a tank with some bad Chomp+Tyshe attack RNG.
> Laten Blaze:
Laten Blaze should also be up on both your tanks at all time, preferably used with Flashover and Touch the Light while Feed the Flames and Fiery Will are up (if Fiery Will is on CD just apply LB with the rest of the buffs).
If you have a LB to spare either use it on yourself or the Defiler.
> Submerge Healing:
Obviously, during submerge there's no more chomp coming from Akylios.
However, there are many waves that need to be dodged which means two things; (1) You can't channel as many Wards to your tanks and (2) other players are getting hit by waves that you need to throw a Symbol on and rescue.
One of your tanks should be picking up most (if not all) of the crabs that spawn during submerge. This tank will need extra care and your main focus of ST healing.
Submerge is when you should mainly be using your Rite of the Forge ability on the tank that holds agro on crabs (he will get smashed).
> Raid Frame Awareness:
As mentioned before, as a purifier you have to expect the worse from your team..
Whenever waves cross the platform you need to check your Raid Frames for players with a blue debuff (got hit by wave) and throw a Symbol on them.
Remember you have 2x Symbol of the Sun occupied by your tanks which leaves you 1x Symbol of the Sun and 3x Symbol of the Torch to rotate on your raid.
> Yolo Heals:
Unfortunately, there are times that during a wave 3 or more players will be hit by it. This would mean 3x GCDs to shield them all while 2 tanks are taking damage simultaneously with you being their only healer.
In that case, you won't have enough time to shield them all and even if you do it's very likely one of your tanks will go splat because they didn't have shields on them to absorb overkills.
Therefore, it's time to Yolo Heal. So, in your mind --> 3+ people hit by waves --> Yolo heals.
Occasionally you can use Yolo Heal when both your tanks are low on HP, you don't have an instant Ward of Fire to throw and you don't feel there's enough time to save them in any other way.
Yolo Heal can also be used during an Undertow if an AOE healer is dead or things look unstable for a reason.
> AOE Shield:
Sometimes (pretty much 50% of times) Razor Cyclone from Tyshe will be cast during an Undertow. If Razor Cyclone stacks are high or a player has low HP or standing on a stinger ground AOE then an overkill is very likely to happen.
Put Tyshe on Focus and if you see Razor Cyclone during Undertow use your AOE shield. It covers 10/20 players but it's definitely a good investment of a GCD.

Defiler:
> Rasmolov:
Healing Rasmolov and getting the next Crystal ready to be pulled right after an Undertow is your main concern here and pretty much what you will be doing most of the time. Definitely do not bother trying to do any AOE heals, you don't the GCDs to spare and feedback is not any good either.
- Use Unstable Transformation on Rasmolov right after a Tsunami+Undertow as it is the best moment for other classes to spare some ST heals since the raid just made it out of heavy AOE damage (also tanks are safe since Tsunami + Undertow means your puri only has Tyshe attacks to heal while akylios is busy breathing).
UT will normally be followed by Explosive Growth + Ghastly, Blooms, Essence Surges etc pulling out a lot of HPS on Rasmolov.
- Mana Recovery is important. Defiler can pull out significant ST heals but that's mana consuming. Therefore, you will have to use your mana recovery ability (Empowered Affliction) and the best moment to do it is when you are stacking in the shield hence you are too far away to heal rasmolov. You have to stay there for the whole tsunami duration anyway so you may as well get some mana back.
- Healing Defiler aka 61 defiler and from 12 to 15 points in sentinel depending on your personal preferences (gear, state of progression etc). You will need: Touch the Light + Healing Invocation, Healer's Blessing, 5/5 Watchful Gaze, 3/3 Expeditious and if you wanna go for more then pick something around Call to Action or Divine Understanding.

Liberator:
> Undertows:
Liberator is a very good burst healer, perfect for healing through Undertows.
Undertows come every 30 seconds. One comes after Tsunami and one comes right before the raid needs to gather up and prepare for next Tsunami.
Obviously, most of your CDs will be available only once per minute for one of every two Undertows.
Therefore, the two bursty AOE healers (Liberator/Warden) have to decide who will take which Undertow to heal the raid through it.
Before Undertow:
- Make sure you have 3 stacks of Mass Casualty Response up and at least 8 seconds of it remaining (preferably 10) when Undertow cast begins. If not, refresh as soon as you see Undertow being channeled.
- Try to apply Corrective Measures right before Undertow or maximum 6 seconds before (4 GCD) to make sure it will be up for the full duration of the Undertow.
- Remember the fastest way to build Combo points right before Undertow (to refresh your HoT's etc) is by using Quick Remedy.
- If all HoT's are properly applied, don't need to be refreshed and you have 1 combo points or more then you should cast Deliverance so that the heal lands as soon as the raid takes the first tick of Undertow damage. Practically, you will have to start casting about 0.5 to 1 second after the Undertow channel appears.
During Undertow:
- If it's your turn to heal (the Undertow assigned to you to use your CD into) then use Redress, Medical Facility and spam Deliverance.
In fact, Redress + MF is a bit of an "overkill" if you ask me and MF itself should be enough but you may wanna play safe.
Otherwise save your Redress as a raid CD for another undertow or submerge etc.
- If it's the other healer's turn for Undertow you should use Ameliorate.
- Remember that sometimes Tyshe will also hit with Razor Cyclone which means double tick of damage (undertow+cyclone). In that case, if you are not channeling Ameliorate or spamming Medical Facility you should use your Mass Rescue.
As said above, if you are not using your Redress with MF then a really good moment to pop it is also this case.
After Undertow:
- Refresh HoT's if needed and spend some GCDs helping healing on Rasmolov; Quick Remedy, Extraordinary Care, Liberation Treatment, Prolongued Recovery and Fast Relief ..if needed.

Chloro:
> Undertows & Rasmolov:
Undertows come every 30 seconds one of which always comes right after a Tsunami.
Therefore, you should be able to prepare accordingly to pull out a big AOE healing burst and here is how to do it:
Before Undertow:
- Make sure you have 5 stacks of Nature's Touch and Ruin ready.
- Apply Withering Vines on both Tyshe and Akylios.
- Apply Corrosive Spores on Tyshe (8 sec duration & CD).
- Cast Vile Spores
You want Withering Vines, Corrosive Spores and Vile Spores to be ticking while the damage of the undertow begins 3 seconds into the 6sec channel of Undertow. If you time it correctly your Vile spores should be hitting the target when the first tick of Undertow damage occurs.
During Undertow:
- Utilize instant Nature's Touch, Ruin, Flourish and Corrosive spores (came out of CD) to heal through the Undertow.
- Remember that sometimes Tyshe will also hit with Razor Cyclone which means double tick of damage (undertow+cyclone) ,therefore, a flourish might be a better option since it's an instant AOE heal without traveling time.
After Undertow:
- After Undertow there's not much AOE damage going around and it's generally the best moment to assist the Defiler to heal Rasmolov (since he's also popping UT at that point).
- All you need to do is a 4-5 GCD rotation using the following abilities: Bloom, Essence Surge, Resurgence, Healing Torrent, Natural Healing (NH is optional).
- Then go back to your normal AOE rotation building up stacks of Nature's Touch and preparing for next Undertow.

Archon:
> Power Drain & Undertow:
Undertow takes a snapshot of Akylios' "stats" when the channeling begins.
Therefore, casting Power Drain on Akylios right before he begins to channel Undertow will reduce the Undertow's damage by 10%.
Fortunately, one Undertow always comes right after the Tsunami. Unfortunately, the other one needs a bit of practice to master its timing.

Archon VS BM:
Based on the above, Archon is a better choice overall for reducing the amount of AOE healing you need to pull out in the entire fight and can also assist killing Tentacles if need be.
Beastmaster, on the other hand, is a better choice only if your raid struggles with submerge phases (many ppl getting hit by waves, too much confusion etc) to give your raid some additional HP, Resistances and healing buffs.
We prefer the archon, hands down. (especially since a warrior is more useful as ST dps for target switching than a mage)

Iragua

Raid Composition:
- 1x Tank (Paladin recommended / 90k+ HP also recommended)
- 1x Defiler
- 1x Purisent
- 2x Chloro (1x LGV, 1x LBV)
- 1x Bard
- 1x BM/Archon
- 13x DPS (melee friendly if careful)
> Full Puri + Full Senti can be used if there's trouble keeping the tank alive.
> A Warden or an extra AOE chloro can be added if there are problems with AOE healing.

Mechanics:

Whirlpool
- Iragua drops a whirlpool on top of the tank which deals 60k per tick to the tank and 120k+ to non-tanks.
- Tank has to move out immediately. Melee DPS must avoid getting hit by it.
Raid AOE damage:
- Raid gets 14k ticks of damage that you simply need to heal through. Nothing special or hard to handle.
Hyperclaw:
- Cast by Iragua. Has to be interrupted otherwise it casts a 180 degree massive cleave (might kill the tank or some other players who stood in the wrong angle)

Tactics:
This is basically a "tank'n'spank" DPS-check encounter. Your raid needs to kill Iragua before you run out of space due to the whirlpools he drops on the tank.
Whirlpools must be placed around the room, next to each other and in a fashion that tank will never LOS the healers or squish the DPS in some fucked up position.

"Damage-wise"
The tank is the only one who will be taking massive damage due to Iragua's attacks and occasionally a tick from the whirlpool while he is running out of it.
It's very likely that a tick from a whirlpool will coincide with a swing from the boss which is why the safest way to do this encounter is by constantly rotating CDs on the tank.
There's also AOE damage to the raid but it's extremely easy to heal through.

"CD Rotation on tank"
CD rotation starts as soon as the first whirlpool drops on the floor.
- Unstable Transformation (10 sec uptime)
- Aegis of Light (or equal ability for other tanks - 4 sec uptime)
- Tank CD: Shield Defense + Light protection (12 sec uptime) - or equal abilities if using other classes to tank.
- Healers Covenant (10 sec uptime)
- Unstable Conflagration (4 sec uptime)
- Rite of the Forge (15 sec uptime) // If on CD use some 2min tank CD instead
- Aegis of Light (or equal ability for other tanks - 4 sec uptime)
> If needed you can use Symbiosis somewhere in between to secure fragments to your CD rotation.

Repeat till kill.

Achievement Guide

This covers the BoB Akylios instance, this is even shorter and more boring than Greenscale was. Have fun.

Irauga

This is mostly a dummy parse, you can't fail unless you're an idiot.

Raid Composition:

1 Tank (Who is good at reacting to whirlpools spawning on them.)

1 Healer (Who is decent enough to Tank Heal Irauga. Usually an AoE Healer can do it too, it's that easy now.)

1 Archon (Preferably Stormchon.)

1 Bard/Oracle (Preferably Oracle.)

16 DPS (Single-Target, Ranged.)

Basically the Tank kites the boss in the big trapezium-shaped area while avoiding Abyssal Whirlpool. Rest of Raid stands where the boss started at and just nuke while interrupting Hyperclaw. It's not hard at all.

Akylios

This fight is so much fun it's only about swapping to important targets.

Raid Composition:

2 Tanks (Who are okay with Tank Swaps.)

2 Healers (1 Liberator and 1 Chloromancer.)

1 Archon (Preferably Stormchon.)

1 Bard/Oracle (Preferably Oracle.)

1 AoE DPS (Preferably Tactician/Marksman, but anything works I guess.)

13 Single-Target DPS (Ranged, who know how to swap targets. One Warrior with a Warlord Sub-Soul is also needed.)

Tank Mechanics: There's two ways to swap, either swap at 3 stacks of Razor Cyclone on a Tank, or 4 stacks of Razor Cyclone on Tyshe. Other than that just pick up the Deepsea Shrieker adds.

Tsunami of Obliteration: The Warrior with the Warlord Sub-Soul and the Chloro need to coordinate this one a little. Basically the Chloro heals the Rasmolov NPC to 100% HP continuously throughout the fight (There is nothing better to do, deal with it.) and the Warrior should pull the Crystalline Void that spawns to where the Raid is at 0:50, 1:50, 3:20 and 4:20 mins (Fight should be over by now, unless your DPS sucks.) and this will then spawn a protective purple shield which the Raid must remain in to survive Tsunami of Obliteration.

This fight primarily focuses on adds like Greenscale, so we'll cover those individually:

Akylios and Tyshe: Nuke Akylios to 10%, then nuke Tyshe to 10% then balance their HP down together. Tentacles should be prioritised however.

Stingers and Lashers of Akylios: These are HP linked to Akylios, meaning switching to these is not slowing down the time it takes to kill Akylios and you're getting an Achievement done. Stingers will drop a green AoE on the raid and Lashers will apply a debuff called Wavecrash, meaning you have no excuse to say you didn't know a tentacle was up. If you're oblivious to your surroundings use a target macro for each and you're good to go. ALL DPS MUST SWITCH TO THESE.

Deepsea Shriekers: The AoE DPS should just nuke these, they spawn during the Phase where Akylios temporarily submerges so the rest of the Raid can help out too, depending on Tyshe' HP you may also want to avoid DPSing her in the process.

That is all. If you do all of that correctly you should be able to make a kill work out and get 5/5 Achievements in a single run.
